A photograph of the historical government building in Ottawa Canada. The East Block is one of the four buildings that make up the Parliament Buildings National Historic Site of Canada. It was constructed between 1859 to 1865. The photo was taken in a Canadian winter morning, creating a white, cloudy background for the massive and impressive stone building. The building was designed by Thomas Stent and Augustus Laver in the High Victorian Gothic Revival Style, with masonry, pointed openings, carved details and buttresses.
