| Since Golden Gate Park is built on sand dunes,it needed water brought in for irrigations. Dutch Windmill,on the northern side of the park,opened in 1903. Murphy Windmill,on the southern side of the park,opened in 1908. Both were built for the purpose of irrigating the park. As seen 6 April 2023. |
