Rochester Cathedral formally the Cathedral Church of Christ and the Blessed Virgin Mary is an English church of Norman architecture in Rochester Kent. The Cathedral figures in Dickens' novel The Pickwick Papers and is central to the unfinished The Mystery of Edwin Drood. The description of the Cathedral in The Mystery of Edwin Drood are some of the last words Dickens ever wrote.
