National Cultural Monument of Zvolen Castle is the dominant and symbol of the Central Slovak city of Zvolen. This Gothic-Renaissance chateau was built during 14th century by the Hungarian King Louis I as a hunting seat of the Hungarian kings.At present, the castle is managed by the Slovak National Gallery, which uses it for exhibitions of its expositions. The permanent exhibitions include an exhibition of copies of works by Master Paul from Levoca and a selection of works of European fine art.
