Donald Chee was a San Francisco native, and lived his whole life in the area. After graduating from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in electrical engineering, he spent some time in the Peach Corps. He eventually went to work with San Francisco`s public transportation, the MUNI, being put in charge of the street cars. His biggest impact was getting the `F` Market street car line running, which is the one that goes to the Fisherman Wharf. Don Chee Way is a Right-Of-Passage named in his honor, which opened in March 2000. As seen September 2021.
