| Diez is a small town at the Lahn. It is located in Rhineland-Palatinate with the next town up the river being Limburg an der Lahn in Hessen. The Lahn valley marks the border between Taunus and Westerwald, two mountain areas. The river Aar ends in Diez. The old town has a medieval character, while the origins go much to much earlier times. The town holds the original castle of the Dutch royals. |
