A Nazarene is a person who participates in Holy Week processions, especially in Spain and some Latin American countries. They wear a long, pointed robe, usually dark in color, and a capirote (a type of hood) that covers much of their face. Nazarenes are part of religious brotherhoods and their clothing symbolizes penance and devotion.
