Dandelion belongs to the plant genus “taraxacum”, Arabic word meaning “bitter herb”. The name Dandelion is of French origin. Other names attributed to the flower are: Taraxaco, Amargosa, Amor-de-Homem and Chicory Silvestre. Dandelion is rich in potassium and beta-carotene, having several medicinal properties.
