Cytisus scoparius is a plant that grows wild in Central, Southern and Western Europe. This beautiful ornamental shrub of the legume family can be found in Poland in the Baltic Sea or in the mountains mainly in the Sudetenland, as well as in some parts of the lowlands. It blooms in May and June with its characteristic butterfly flowers and is sown for animal feed or to strengthen sandy slopes and domesticated sands. The cytus shrub also grows in our gardens.
