Scaevola aemula, a plant of the family Cymbiaceae and genus Cymbidium, is mainly distributed near the coast of Australia. Perennial herb, with a plant height of about 25-50cm. The stem is reddish brown in color. Leaves alternate, ovate in shape, apex blunt or with a small pointed tip, base wedge-shaped, upper margin dentate, lower margin entire. A raceme inflorescence, with the tube attached to the ovary, and small blue, white, and pink flowers. The corolla is symmetrical on both sides, and the lobes are almost equal. Stone fruit. The flowering period is from spring to late summer.
