Moustached Warbler. Acrocephalus melanopogon.12-13 cm 10-12 gr, Wing Spread. 15-17 cm. A reddish-brown colored bird. It is seen in marshes, reed beds, lake and river shores and Typha (a type of reed) beds and Pragmites reeds. As a hunting strategy, it prefers insects on the ground rather than flying. It is almost always heard in reeds. It rarely comes out into the open, it is timid. When it does come out, it is seen pecking wherever reeds or sedges touch the water surface. It is quite active, it never stands still.
