| Cosmos bipinnata Cav., nickname: Cosmos and Qiu Ying. Annual or perennial herbs with 1-2 meters high. Root spindle shaped, fibrous root, or near stem base with adventitious roots. Stems glabrous or slightly pilose. Leaves two pinnate, deeply lobed, lobes linear or filiform linear. Head inflorescence single, 3-6 cm in diameter. Involucre bracts outer lanceolate or linear lanceolate, nearly leathery, pale green, with dark purple stripes. |
