| This is a Winter picture of the Charles Hopkinson Mausoleum in the Rosehill Cemetery located in the Lincoln Square neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. Hopkinson died in 1883 but his widow spent more than three years in court fighting the Rosehill Cemetery over construction of the Mausoleum. The case was finally decided by the Illinois Supreme Court in 1885 and the Mausoleum was completed and Hopkinson was interred. This picture was taken on February 11, 2017. |
