Pictured is the "Allegory of Constance", one of five bronze statues in the monumental grave of the condottiero Gian Giacomo Medici by Leone Leoni, Milan Cathedral. Gian Giacomo Medici was born the 25th of January 1498 and died the 8th of November 1555. He was an Italian condottiero, Duke of Marignano and Marquess of Musso and Lecco in Lombardy. He was the brother of Giovanni Angelo Medici, who was later to be elected Pope as Pius IV. His nickname was Il Medeghino, the `little Medici`. Leone Leoni was an Italian sculptor of international outlook. Leone executed the five bronze figures for the marble monument in the Milan Cathedral
