Concertina accordion on display at the famous Musical Instrument Museum near Phoenix,Arizona. A concertina is a free-reed musical instrument, like the various accordions and the harmonica. It consists of expanding and contracting bellows, with buttons usually on both ends, unlike accordion buttons, which are on the front. This accordion is a bellows driven musical instrument. The musician operates the bellows to make air pass and blow across strips of reed or thin metal that vibrate to make musical note sounds. Antique from 1900.
