common bream (Abramis brama) and the white bream (Blicca bjoerkna) common bream is a widespread freshwater fish native to Europe and parts of western Asia. It has a deep, laterally compressed body with a dark bronze to grey coloration and long anal fin. Common bream prefer slow-flowing rivers and lakes, where they feed on detritus, worms, and plant material on the bottom. Adults can grow quite large, often reaching over 50 cm in length
