The blue-green colour of the lake is due to glacial rock flour. Moraine Lake is a glacially fed lake in Banff National Park, 14 kilometres outside the town of Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada. It is situated in the Valley of the Ten Peaks, also sometimes referred to as the Seven Sisters. In this image some of these peaks can be seen surrounding the turquoise lake with canoes in all colours waiting for the tourists to arrive on a beautiful summer day.
