Epilobium coloratum, or purpleleaf willowherb, has few documented human uses beyond its role in supporting pollinators and as a plant for wetland restoration and rain gardens, though other Epilobium species are used medicinally for prostate issues and digestion, and as food. Some Epilobium species also yield nectar for honey and have leaves and roots that are edible.
