View of the lost column, as called so because it was retrieved from a shipwreck nearby and brought to the castle of methoni, city of messinia, in peloponese, greece. The origin of this colmn remain unknown. This castle was built and occupied by the venitians from 12th century to 16th century, then the castle felt to the hand of the turkish in 1500.
