| This is a Winter picture of the iconic Bridgeton Covered Bridge over the mostly frozen Big Raccoon Creek And Waterfall located in Bridgeton, Indiana in Parke County. The original 267 foot long wooden bridge was built by J.J. Daniels in 1868. The bridge was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 22, 1978. The original was destroyed as a part of a series of arson attacks in spark County in 2005. Dan Collom rebuilt the bridge in 2006. This picture was taken On January 8, 2018. |
