| Lillie Hitchcock Coit îs best remembered for funding the tower on top of Telegraph Hill in San Francisco, that bares her name.
Equally famous are the mural frescos inside of the tower. These were done by a team of twenty five artists under the direction of Diego Rivera and sponsored by the Public Works of Arts Project of the New Deal during 1934. They depict how life was throughout California at the time period.
There is also a photograph of Lillie Coit.
