| Red cobblestone building ruins off the shoreline of Lake Ontario in Sodus Point, NY. Built around 1830. Stones in this area were in great abundance thanks to the glaciers that passed through helping to form the smallest of the Great Lakes, Lake Ontario. Talented masons who helped construct the Erie Canal, were often employed to use their expertise to build these cobblestone structures. |
