Griffon vultures upon the rocks along the Spanish Cidacos River. The Cidacos River is a tributary of the Ebro and its source is Los Campos in Soria. It flows for 77 km until its reaches the Ebro at Calahorra La Rioja. The griffon vulture Gyps fulvus is a large Old World vulture in the bird of prey family ccipitridae. It is also known as the Eurasian griffon. Inextricably linked with death and the macabre, the Griffon Vulture feeds on carrion and has also been known to attack weak newly born lambs and calfs.
