| Pictured is a Cicada killer wasp. It is a large solitary wasp that burrows into the ground to form a nest. It paralyzes a cicada with it`s sting and carries it into the nest. It lays an egg on the paralyzed cicada. The egg hatches in 2-3 days and the grub feeds on the cicada. |
