| The church of Santiago el Mayor or Santiago del Arrabal is located next to the Puerta de Bisagra, in the northern area of ??the historic center of the city It was built in the 2nd half of the 13th century, under the patronage of Sancho II, king of Portugal. It is one of the clearest examples of a Mudejar style building in Toledo and the only church in Toledo that maintains its primitive structure. The temple is large and has pure lines, built of brick and taped masonry. |
