The Church of the Most Holy Redeemer, also known as Santísimo Redentor, is a Roman Catholic parish church under the authority of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York, located at 161–165 East 3rd Street between Avenues A and B in the East Village neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City.[1] The parish was founded in 1844 by the Redemptorist Fathers, and the church, which looks more like a cathedral than a parish church, was built in 1851–1852, designed by an architect named Walsh.
