The last village in India, Chitkul, is located in the Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh on the right bank of the Baspa River. Chitkul is a little challenging to get to because of its elevation, which is around 11,319 feet. The river boasts a beautiful view of snow-covered mountains on one side and a landscape with apple orchards and wooden homes on the other. The area is completely blanketed with snow for most of the year. |
