Cuare Biodiversity Reserve, a refuge for migratory birds. , Chichiriviche is a town located in the Venezuelan state of Falcón, located on the eastern coast of that state, 195 km southeast of Santa Ana de Coro. Capital of the Monsignor Iturriza Municipality. It has a population for the year 2011 of 18,960 inhabitants. Chichiriviche is surrounded to the east by small cays or islands of fine white sand to the west by the wetland of the Cuare Wildlife Refuge and to the south by the Golfete de Cuare. and to the south by the Golfete de Cuare. Initially inhabited by Chiparacoto Indians, its name is a Carib word of the Caquetía tribe that means "place where our sun rises".
