Chinese Water Deer scientific name: Hydropotes inermis: belongs to the deer family. It looks like a musk and is slightly larger, with a length of 90-100 cm, a shoulder height of 55 cm, and a weight of about 15 kg. Both males and females have no horns, males have well-developed teeth, short tails and short hairs, and wide limbs. Winter hair is thick and dense, withered grass yellow; summer hair is thin and short, smooth and slightly reddish brown; belly hair is slightly yellow; no markings on the whole body. The newborn baby deer is dark brown, with light brown spots, and gradually disappears with the replacement of fetal hairs.
