| The Chinese Bagua, or Eight-trigrams are eight diagrams used in Taoist cosmology to represent a range of interrelated concepts. In the center, there is an Yin-Yang symbol, and around it, eight symbols each consists of a different combination of three lines (trigram). The long line represents Yang; while the broken lines represents Yin. The trigrams have wide correspondences in astronomy, astrology, geography, geomancy, anatomy, the family, and almost everything else. |
