| The Way of the Cross of Herentals, located on the Kruisberg, is probably the oldest Way of the Cross in Belgium, dating from 1461. The Way of the Cross consists of fourteen stations (including two chapels) depicting the Passion of Jesus and seven chapels of Our Lady of Seven Woes. The property is located along a hiking trail on the Kruisberg, part of the Kempense Heuvelrug in the northern part of Herentals. The mountain takes its name from the Way of the Cross. |
