| The Shouf Biosphere Reserve is home to some of the largest cedrus libanis stands in Lebanon. Majestic trees, that grow as old as 3000 years have been popular since the Phoenicians discovered its unique qualities of its timber for shipbuilding, furniture and construction. As a result, this majestic tree came close to extinction if it hadn't been for some courageous efforts to conserve it. |
