| The Cathedral of Saint Tryphon is a basilica located in the city of Kotor. It is one of two Catholic cathedrals in Montenegro. It is the seat of the Diocese of Kotor, which encompasses the entire Gulf, currently headed by Bishop Ilija Janji?.Kotor is one of the best-preserved and most beautiful medieval fortified towns in the Mediterranean. The temple was built in honor of Saint Tryphon, patron saint and protector of the city, on the very site of a long-standing church. |
