The Carthage National Museum, alongside the Bardo National Museum, is one of the two main local archaeological museums in the region. The building is located on top of Byrsa Hill, in the heart of the city of Carthage. Founded in 1875 to house finds from excavations, it contains many archaeological objects from the Punic era and other periods. |
