| Since June 15, 1934, the Carpinteria-Summerland Fire Department has been taking care of not just the local fires, but everything from water rescues, medical and CPR rescues, to the more current homeland security. With just the one additional station, in Summerland, they have a combined 40 square miles of area to cover. This structure, built in 1968, is on the same block as the original. |
