| Carpinteria California is world famous as one of the worlds safest and most beautiful beaches in the world. It is also one of the worlds home to the Pacific Harbor Seal,Phoca Vitulina richardii. This is where the mother seals birth and nurse their new pups,from early December through late May. It's funny they are called pups,because seeing them swim looks like dog pups swimming. The seals share the beach with typical aquatic birds like gulls,California Brown Pelicans and Double Crested Cormorants. Watching the seals with their pups looking down from the bluffs is the best and safest for both the people and seals. As seen 28 May 2023. |
