This is an early Spring picture of the Lincoln Park Zoo’s caravan of Bactrian Camels in their compound, located in Chicago, Illinois in Cook County. The Bactrian Camel is a large, even toed ungulate. They are native of the steppes of Central Asia, they are the largest living Camels, and were domesticated as pack animals around 2500 B.C.. This picture was taken on March 22, 2018.
