The Citadelle of Quebec (La Citadelle), is an active military installation and residence of the governor general located atop Cap Diamant, adjoining the Plains of Abraham in Quebec City, Quebec. The citadel, the oldest military building in Canada, is part of the fortifications of Quebec City. The fortress was designated as a National Historic Site of Canada in 1980.
