| The Canadian National Vimy Memorial is a memorial in Vimy France dedicated to all those that died during WWI. Vimy Ridge was the first battle in which all the Canadian divisions fought as one cohesive unit. The memorial designed by Walter Seymour Allward is built on land which has been given to Canada by France for perpetuity. 1917 marks the 100 year anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge in which Canadian forces were victorious. |
