| Sunflowers are the biggest of the daisy family. This sunflower, growing in South Africa brought smiles to people, reminding us to see the sunny side of things. This variety, known as Helianthus, has flowers up to 18 inches wide and stems up to 10 foot or more in height. Sunflowers are also a food source and supply consumers with sunflower oil and sunflower seeds. Sow in springtime in full sun. |
