Calycoseris wrightii, commonly known as white tackstem, is an annual spring wildflower, one of two species in the genus Calycoseris. It is native to the southern California desert regions of the United States. - Desert landscape called The Borrego Badlands, in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park in Southern California. One of the best places to get a look at the Badlands’ surreal scene is at Font’s Point, nicknamed California’s Grand Canyon. The point is a coveted spot for photographers, especially at sunset or on full-moon nights. HTBphotos by John and Katharina Notarianni for websites, print, news and other media.v
