California Quail inhabit the Okangan Similkameen area of southern British Columbia in Canada. These beautiful birds are often seen in families of up to sixty, usually in the spring before they pair off for nesting. Quail hens lay 10-12 eggs and if fortunate most survive to adulthood. California Quail are often confused with Gambel's Quail as a result of their similarities.
