Byblos also called Jbeil on the mediterranean lebanese shore as been inhabited since the beginning of humankind. The stones of the little port have been set there at the time of Phoenicians during antiquity. Some of those walls have been rebuilt during middle age by the crusaders who used the antic columns to strengthen the walls. The site is classed by UNESCO in world wide heritage
