Pictured is Butcher`s-broom, Ruscus aculeatus, in a blue Pot in the Jardin Majorelle in Marrakesh, Morocco. It stands in front of a bamboo fence and a grove of bamboo in the background. The garden was created by the French Orientalist artist Jacques Majorelle over almost 40 years, starting in 1923. Jacques invented the cobalt blue color seen in this pot and throughout the garden, and patented it with the name Blue Majorelle. |
