Sugarcane juice is very popular in Myanmar (Burma) and widely available across the country. It is called kyan yae in Burmese. Sugarcane juice is obtained by crushing peeled sugar cane in a mill. It can be a hand-cranked machine, or powered. It is served, often cold, and sometimes with other ingredients, such as a squeeze of lemon or lime (in Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Pakistan), pineapple (Brazil), passionfruit, ginger (India, Zanzibar) or ice. In Pakistan it can be served with black salt or mint. Htilominlo Temple is a Buddhist temple located in Bagan (formerly Pagan), in Burma/Myanmar, built during the reign of King Htilominlo (also known as Nandaungmya) in 1211. The temple is three stories tall, with a height of 46 metres (150 feet), and built with red brick. It is also known for its elaborate plaster moldings. On the first floor of the temple, there are four Buddhas that face each direction. The temple was damaged in the 1975 earthquake and subsequently repaired.
