Buddhist monks with traditional robes are attending at the celebration for the birthday of the 4th King of Bhutan at the Trongsa Dzong, Trongsa, Bhutan. Trongsa Dzong is the largest dzong fortress in Bhutan. A temple was first established at the location in 1543 by the Drukpa Lama Ngagi Wangchuk. In 1647 his great-grandson Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal constructed the first dzong to replace it. |
