Hemerocallis fulva is a plant species in the family Apocynaceae and genus Hemerocallis. The roots are nearly fleshy, with spindle like enlargement in the middle and lower parts Leaves are generally wider The flowers bloom in the morning and wither at night, with no fragrance. They are orange red to orange yellow in color, and there are usually "?" shaped spots on the lower part of the inner perianth lobes. These characteristics can be distinguished from other types produced in China. The flowering and fruiting period is from May to July.
