| Pictured is are bronze statues titled `Seeing the Future Irving in 1903` by sculptor Paul Taldlock. The statues are Otis Brown and J.O. Schulze, employees of the Rock Island Railway who arrived in 1902 to survey a railroad route between Fort Worth and Dallas. The co-founders bought 80 acres and sold the first town lots at a public auction on December 19, 1903 and the City of Irving was established. The sculptures were dedicated in 2003 at the Irving Centennial Celebration. |
