| Pictured is a bronze sculpture by Jan Stursa titled `The Day and the Night`. It is located in the northern part of the yard Ungelt. Jan Stursa was born in 1880 and committed suicide just before his forty-fifth birthday in 1925. He was suffering from the effects of syphilis. He was one of the founders of modern Czech sculpture. A near naked girl has a puma at her feet, and a young man has an eagle leaning against his leg. |
