The Queen's birthday is officially celebrated by the Trooping the Colour. Over 1400 officers and men are on parade, together with two hundred horses, four hundred musicians from ten bands and the corps of drums. The royal procession arrives and the Queen takes the royal salute and inspects the troops. After the event, the Royal Family gathers on the balcony of Buckingham Palace to watch an RAF flypast. Trooping the colour ceremony is performed by the massed band and Troops of the Household Division. The colour will be trooped by 1st Battalion Irish Guards. The Queen leaves Buckingham Palace
